About Marianne

Marianne Schat is a graduate of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) and received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture in 2000. She is board certified by the National Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She maintained a private practice in Seattle for four years while continuing her Acupuncture and Cranial Sacral Therapy education with her mentor and teacher Gail Ptacek. In September 2004 Marianne opened her practice in Durham NC. She has extensive experience in the treatment of back pain, sciatica and migraines.

Marianne is currently taking maternity leave, after which she will be moving to Austin, Texas. She will miss Durham greatly, and encourages her clients to discuss referrals with her, and stay in touch!
